1946 Bendix Model 0526C Green Black Catalin RadioWe sell new and gently used name rband clothing, books, radios, furniture and anything else my husband drags home. Hree is one for the refurbishers and collectors. It is a 1946 bendix tube radio model 0526c with a black and green catlin adn bakelite cabinet. It is made by teh bendix aviation corporation. The green catlin part has a great swirled pattern in it. As you can see in the pictures it has a major crack across the top and a chunk of plastic missing in the top front. Other than that the rest of the cabinet looks pretty good. It does have the original matching catlin control knobs. It is missing the cardboard back. On the bright side, i did plug in the radio and the tubes did start to glow and i was able to manually turn the tuner and it idd pick up a couple of stations. So i will say that this is a wroking chassis. I had to turn the tuner manual because ti seems like that the string that turns the tuner needs to be replaced. I did not want to get any deeper into this radio, since i am not an expert and did not want to do any damage to it. I'm sure that when this radio is in the right hands and gets a good cleaning and lubrication it will be a great working radio again.
