Austin Wood Tombstone Radio With ClockThis rare radio is mraked austin on the dial. On the wood back panel there is a metal tag that says the starr piano co. The radio is large nad heavy measuring 17 1/2 wide and 13 1/2 tall. The radio has a nice cathedral shaped inlay in hte wood on the front panel. In the picture you can see that the wood inside the inlay is darker than the wood on the outside. The radio was refinished and looks okay, but it is definately not a professional job. The wood trim along the front has a chip on the front corners. The speaker points up out the top of the radio. The grill cloth is mostly missing but the grill bars are complete nad solid. There is also some missing vneeer along the corners on the top. The chassis is mostly rust free other than some light rust on the transformer. This radio has never been tested so i do not know the operating condition. The clcok face is not marked with a manufacturers name. Buyer pays $35 shipping within the us.
