Beautiful Working 1930S Travler Tombstone Tube RadioBeautiful, working, 1930's travelr wood table radio. This set dates to approximately 1936 and si one of the many radio brands that were made in the chicago factory that made this one, all utilizing this same chassis. This is a tombstone style cabinet, which was the predomininant table radio style from 1934-40. The set has been refinished at soem time in the past, you could choose to keep it as is- or refinish if you have the talents to do so. Unit hsa original wood knobs, grille cloth, and dial scale (which is excellent). The set plays loudly, clearly with good tone, no hum- on all three bands. It has the usual am/broadcast band, as well as two shortwave bands. Just tonight, i heard russia, china, japan, spain, and cuba. Has good, safe, power cord, and working dial lights, it has two. The radio measures 11 1/2 inches wide, 8 1/2 deep and 16 inches high. All radios sold have had preventative electrical maintainence, so that they perform as well in the foreseeable future. As they do when you first get them. I stand behidn the components i've repaired, parts and labor- for 90 days. After that- free labor for 6 months. Why would you bother with someone who says they've restored the radio and then tell you you are buying as is? The insides of my radios are given the same attention as the outsides.
