Beautiful Working 1930S Zenith Wood Tube RadioBeautiful, working, 1930's zenith owod table radio. This set is a model 5s-319 and dates to the 1939 model year. The set has good to fair orgiinal finish (depending on location on cabinet), and the set could benefit from a refinish if you have the talents to do so. It has one of the nicest prewar dials, a golden colored racetrack dial. Unit has original knobs, knob felts, dial frame, pushbuttons, grille cloth, and crystal clear glass dial lens (the photos show reflections of me and my camera). The est plays loudly, clearly with good tone, no hum- on both bands. It has the usual am/broadcast band, as well as a full coverage shortwave band featuring the international broadcasters. Just tonight, i heard russia, china, japan, cuba, spain, and canada. hTe set features pushbutton tuning (in addition to the usual dial tuning), so you can zip to your favorite stations. They function quietly and smoothly. Has good, safe, power cord, and working dial lights, it has two. The radio measures 13 inches wide, 7 1/2 deep and 9 inches high. All radios sold have had prevnetative electrical maintainence, so that they perform as well in the foreseeable future. As they do when you first get them. I stand behind the cmoponents i've repaired, parts and labor- for 90 days. After that- free labor for 6 months. Why would you bother with someone who says they've restored the radio and then tell you you are buying as is? The insides of my radios are given the same attention as the outsides.
