Emerson 35 Sheraton Miniature Tombstone Tube RadioThis si the famous 1933 emerson model 35 sheraton miniature tombstone. I spent a lto of time and effort restoring this radio inside and out. I would have never spent this much time in the restoration unless this radio has value. This radio is extremely rare and i mean rare! The condition of the radio is as followsi had the chassis restored by a professional with a new power cord new capacitors, and atnenna wire. This radio plyas loud and clear. I had the cabinet finish retouched and the moldings replaced on the top to match the original style and/or shape. The finial knosb labels, and radio back are original. The grill cloth has been replaced with a reproduction of emerson's pattern. The cabinet has one dent in the lower right hand corner of the cabinet. Therefore, on a scale of 1 10 with 10 as the highest condition rating, i would rate this radio as an 8 8 1/2. If you collect emerson radios, this is a radio is a must, i searched 25 years to find this radio! It is my philosophy that this is the radio you buy until you find a better original, because you may never find a better original regardless of how many years you look.Please notethis radio is for decoration only.
