Philco Model 70 Cathedral RadioHere is a nice solid philco 70 cathedral. The finish is original and it looks like the darker versino of the set. The finish is still pretyt good but has a stain down the right side. The are no cracks in the cabinet or grill but does have one small piece of veneer missing from the right hand side of the grill area that is smaller that the size of half a pinky nail. The etchusean is in good shape. The knobs are good but the smallest rosette one no the bottom has a few chips around the edge. There is some wear around the tuning knob.It still has the label on hte back of the arch. The grill cloth was rpelaced a few years ago and is still in great shape. The chassis has some surface rust taht should clean up easily. Thsi version uses a 47 output tube. The dial is good and the cloth covered power cord was replacde with a heavier type from antique electronic supply. The radio was repaired by the previous owner and plays fine across the dial.The radio will be oduble boxed. Sold as is. Buyer pays shipping. Payment within 7 days fo auction ending.
