Rare Vintage 1948 Gridiron Football Metal Tube RadioExtremely rare vintage 1948 gridiron football metal tube radio! ~~description~~. - wow! This is one rare and so very cool gridiron football radio made in 1948 in amarillo, texas. These rae so hard to find and rare that they don't come up often on ebay. Everything is original on this radio right down to the green paint. The cord has been cut os it is untested and does not work. All tubes are present, and the inside looks very clean. The on/off switch works as does the tuning dial. It measrues 14 long by 9.5 tall & 8 wide. This would be a great radio to repair or a jewel just the way it is. We double box all radios. Please plan on paying $25 $35 shipping on this radio. I will not box it up unitl auctions end, due to questions and pick up issues. If you were you, i would wait until auctions close and let me email you an invoice with the postage charges on it. That way i can figure the exact postage plus a $4 handling fee on all radios. This vintage non-working radio will be available for sale overseas but it is being sold, as is and there are no returns or refunds on vintage radios send out of the united states. Plus this radio will have to be send priority mail and i do not falsify customs forms. I also believe this radio is small enough to go to australia but keep in mind that postage will be extremely high to that country due to the size of the box.
