Silvertone No1904 Cathedral Tombstone Antique RadioYou are bidding on an immaculate six tube fully electronically restored vintaeg 1930s era sears silvertone model 1904 radio. Silvertone was the store brand radio sold by sears roebuck & company. This radio electronically has been bench tested and restored to original factory specifications in perfect working condition. All defective and substandard electronic componets and tubes have been identified and replaced. All replacement parts rae new except tubes which are used but test good. It has good sensitivity and audio is loud and clear with on hum or distortion. Dial calibration is accurate. Volume control works smoothly and is not noisy. The tuning mechanism operates like nwe smooth and easy with no slipage. The wood cabinet is very clean, structurally sound, has a beautiful finish professionally formulated and applied to keep the appearance, color, and luster as near to original as possible and is totally free of dents and scratches. There is no loose, chipped, or missing veneer. The dial scale is clean, is not faded and fully readable. The knobs are original and in perfect condition. This model covers the am broadcast band 530 to 1700 khz. And two short wave bands 1.6 to 5.2 mhz and 5.2 to 15.5 mhz. This radio comes with a complete set of five good original silvertone branded tubes. The power cord is original cloth covreed in excellent condition. Thsi radio is a plug and play ready to use item and should give excellent service for a long time without any repairs. This is a museum quality item looks adn works like new 9+ on the 1-10 cosmetic condidion scale. As wtih all vintage electronics it is being sold as is but it will arrive in perfect working condition and should continue to work perfectly for the forseeable future.
