Tumbstone Tube Radio Rca Victor Excellent Wood CaserMdunn store. This rca tube radio has been sitting on our shelf for years.
This came from my grandparents estate. Teh wood case is in excellent condition with only a minor chip in the top left (see picture). After oding our research we found that this is one of the rarest rca radio's out there. Its not the run of the mill old rca.
The radio has a hum whne we turn it on. Someone has changed ot cord. I opened the back to make sure everthing was there and it is. There are 7 tubes inside. The grill cloth is original and perfect. The chassis number is 008712.
There is a red ink stamp inside that sasy rating a. This comes with the operating instructions and sticker on the bottom. The model number is on the sticker but its partially ripped. I can read model number 5x4?
Superheterodyne, rca etc. This would be a great display or a nice easy restoration project. The resale after you repair this is very high. Please take the time to look in the books and see if you can find this radio. We found one online with hwite paint on it for $300. Oo. Sold as in need of restoration. The pictures show many flaws in the wood case that are not noticed in person. This is a gorgeous radio. If i knew how to fix it i would keep it.
