Vintage Antique Bendix Catalin Bakelite Old Tube RadioVintage antique bendix catalin bakelite old tube radiocirca 1940'sapproximate measurements11 width7 height6 1/4 depthrecently acquired from an old estaet is this wonderful catalin radio in great condition. It does have a small chip on the side of the front black grid area, approximate size 1/4 x 1/3. The other side of the radio, has a creamy spot (approx. Size 1/3x1/3) appears to be house paint and it can probably be removed these two conditions can be observed on my pictures. Other than that, the radio has no cracks, the dial knobs are in excellent condition. There are light scratches throughout the cabinet, probably from use, but does not detract from the beautiful swirls and color tones. When i plugged in the radio, it makes a humming loud noise. I can hear the voices, but wiht the humming noise interfering.hTe color tones are great swirls in various tones of greens, yellow green, forest green, light green. The front grid is black. tI does need cleaning. This radio is nice and glossy throughout, including the black bottom base where the knobs are located i mention this because some of my pictures may appear as if some areas are dull.
